Day 2- Houston

We started from Dallas International Fort Worth Airport by 8:00 AM. We reached the exit after a while of searching and google mapping and such and finally we reach the gate. Apparently we have to pay a fee for just entering the airport! My dad had some trouble with swiping his credit card in the scanner so this guy walks over and he is  hilarious. Here is the conversation, or at least what I remember of it. ----------------------------------------------------------- Guy: Do you need my help sir? Dad: I can't seem to swipe my card. Guy: Do you need my help? Because if you do you need to tell me. It is your choice. Do you want me to help or will you try yourself. Dad: Yes! I need help. Help me. Guy: Ok sir. I will help you because that is what you have instructed me to do. (Takes card from my dad's hand. Swipes it. Done.) Here you go sir. Dad: Thank you. Guy: You are welcome. It is because you told me to. That is why I have helped you. (Me: HAHAHAHAH LOL!) ----...

Day 1 - The Flight

We started from our house all ready to go and met our neighbors outside. We told them about the trip and kept going. We arrived at the bus stop waiting to board. Me and my mm scanned our ORCA cards and sat down at a bench. When the bus arrived we got on and found some seats near the back. The bus took us to Bellevue Transit Center. There we walked over to the next bus stop and waited again. Lots of waiting. We boarded the bus when it had arrived and sat down and slept. It was a 45 minute ride. When we reached the airport we walked and went to one of the self check-in kiosks. When we entered our confirmation code it had an error. It said " This service kiosk is currently unavailable. Please consult with an agent at the selected airlines." We went to the Spirit Airlines check-in kiosk and tried again. No luck. We took our bags to an agent and tried checking in. She says something that changed all of our high hopes and joy. You missed the flight, it was today in the morning at...

The Preparations

My family was thinking about visiting all the states and when we saw a good deal on a trip to Texas we booked it right away and started planning our trip. We booked our flight on May 26-29 because that's the Memorial Day weekend and we got Monday off. Where we booked our flight said we can only bring a small check-in bag for free so our stuff has to be limited. I started planning and researching on what to do and where to eat. We are thinking to go to Houston, San Antonio, and Austin. We decided to get the Houston city pass since that included a lot of places we wanted to visit. We also found out that a bunch of bats swarm around downtown Houston every night.  Here is the plan for Houston I have created. Be free to use it on your trip to Texas.
